No sh*t: Miyamoto promises Super Mario Bros on 3DS

It’s a no-brainer that Super Mario Bros. is coming to the 3DS in some form, but it was nice to hear Nintendo’s Shigeru Miyamoto actually say that it’s coming. In the latest round of the Nintendo “Iwata Asks” series, Miyamoto says this:

“In the interests of adopting new technology for the Super Mario Bros. tradition, I am now making a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo 3DS.”

So, 3D Mario is a thing. I’m really looking forward to seeing what he does with this tech. I’m imagining him going nuts with it. 

The good news is that Miyamoto says that he wants this Mario game to be released “as soon as possible.” You and me, buddy. You and me.
