Nintendo knows about the Smash 3DS Peach ban problem

As we previously found out, the Japanese version of Super Smash Bros. 3DS is banning people for playing Peach online during competitive matches — presumably because it mistook her turnip for an item hack.

Nintendo is now aware of the problem, has apologized, and is actively working on a fix — it should be ready by next week. We can assume that it’ll be solved by the time the game arrives overseas, which is good news.
