Nintendo drops 2DS to $99.99 MSRP

The 3DS is a beautiful system. Although I wouldn’t normally spring for so many updates, I’ve gradually moved over to the XL, picked up the Circle Pad Pro, and eventually, upgraded to the New 3DS XL. My wife is enjoying all the hand-me-downs as well.

What’s still crazy to me is the price on the 2DS, the less hefty but still fully functional pared down version. Well, Nintendo has dropped it even lower, to a MSRP of $99.99 — meaning, you’ll likely find it for less.

This new price will take effect on August 30 and will replace the old $129.99 pricepoint. Pour one out for all my homies that just bought a 2DS and can’t return it.
