Also, Shift DX
I don’t have any clever words of wisdom for this week — there’s literally just one game apiece for the Wii U and 3DS. F-Zero X for the former, and Shift DX for the latter. That’s it!
It’s a shame Nintendo hasn’t done anything with F-Zero in years. Maybe they’re waiting for the Switch to ship tons of units before they unveil some sort of teaser for it — like they’re afraid of putting it out on another doomed console for fear of the series going away forever with a whimper.
I don’t really know. But Nintendo really has been lacking in its racing department lately, because while Mario Kart 8 was fantastic its battle mode wasn’t, and there isn’t much else on the horizon. If we could get a Diddy Kong Racing reboot and another F-Zero this gen though? Now we’re talking. That’s an easy way to settle my New Year’s resolution.
If you missed last week’s edition, here it is. As for what I’m getting, nothing! For those who are interested, sales are going on for both the Wii U and 3DS.
