What’s that coming over the hill..?

Respawn Entertainment has officially released a cinematic trailer for season two of its free-to-play battle royale title Apex Legends, and it looks like those players who’ve gotten a kick out of gunning down Flyers recently may have to answer to momma…

The two-minute vid starts with typical Apex Legends fast ‘n’ furious action, further confirming that Octane is the kind of character a committee thinks is cool but everyone else thinks its utterly obnoxious. Things get a little out of hand when an unseen force triggers an EMP attack via their laptop, with the pulse ripple awakening the local wildlife, who appear to be headed your way, player.

It looks like budding Legends better bring the big guns for season two, which will also add new character Wattson alongside new weapons and oodles of juicy loot. Apex Legends got off to a fantastic start when it launched out of the blue back in February, let’s see if it can keep the hype train running throughout summer.

Apex Legends season 2 begins July 2. Apex Legends is available now on PS4, PC and Xbox One.
