Capcom just gave us a new look at a few Monster Hunter Rise DLC cast members: Royal Knight Jae and Royal Knight Luchika. The duo was previously shown off in the prior trailer for the Sunbreak DLC, assisting Admiral Galleus. You can see them at the 50-second mark here in the March trailer, which gave us a clearer look at the DLC. There are, of course, more characters to come.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect from these two from director Yoshitake Suzuki, who is taking over the helm for Sunbreak:

Royal Knight Jae

  • “Specializes in close combat”
  • Voiced by Griffin Burns in English (Childe from Genshin Impact, Fret from Neo: The World Ends With You)

Royal Knight Luchika

  • “Specializes in ranged artillery”
  • Voiced by Karen Strassman in English (Rouge the Bat in many Sonic titles, Sky in Shantae)

Funnily enough, Jae looks a lot like Childe from Genshin Impact, has the same voice actor, and based on the render below, might be sporting the same carefree demeanor. After roaming around the main hub in Rise for all this time, I’m ready for the expansion zone. I also hope these Monster Hunter Rise DLC characters don’t overstay their welcome.

A reminder: Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will arrive on June 30 on both Switch and PC. It’s going to be a dual release! It’ll feel good to be able to go in fresh on whatever platform you want.

Now about those near-impossible-to-find amiibo…it’ll be harder to snatch those up than it will be to restart the entire game over again on PC! Right now it seems like there’s no pre-orders on offer for the US, and hopefully they’ll be available with plentiful stock come June 30. Collectors remain hopeful as some Monster Hunter figures aren’t too hard to find even this far removed from their launch.
