Minecraft’s Master Chief pack got an upgrade for Halo: Infinite

Minecraft Halo

A free update for the existing Mash-Up

Despite some misgivings with Halo: Infinite multiplayer progression, pretty much every aspect of Infinite seems like a success so far. The campaign was met with a generally positive reception, and multiplayer gameplay is spot-on. Of course, it’s time for cross-promotion: enter Minecraft Halo.

Remember the Master chief Mash-Up Pack from years back? Well it just got an update. Mojang and 343 collaborated and added eight skins and some items, which existing owners will get. Said skins include: “Commander Laurette Agryna, War Chief Escharum, Blademaster Jega ‘Rdomnai, the pilot of Pelican Echo-216, a YOROI-clad Spartan,” and three other versions of Master Chief, because we can never have enough Chief in our lives if Microsoft has anything to say about it.

For those of you who don’t play Minecraft, “mash-up” packs are kind of a hodgepodge of different things that spice up the game and make it look different. They’re literally themed packs, which retexture existing landscape and character models to allow for different looks and feels.

The Minecraft Halo mash-up is one of the more fun ones, adding space station-esque buildings into the mix amid the natural landscape of various games, and of course, the Halo ring aesthetic.
