Looks like Singularity’s been delayed again

Originally planned for 2009, then pushed back to the congested Q1 2010 slot, it looks like Activision’s Singularity is facing a third delay, with US retailer GameStop listing the first-person-shooter for June. Activision refuses to comment. 

GameStop is usually very reliable with its release dates, so a Summer launch for Singularity looks likely. One could hardly blame Activision, either — it’s a brand new IP and likely to become overshadowed thanks to the big 2010 Q1 exodus that a bunch of games undertook last year. 

This is pretty much what I expected to happen. You can probably assume that more games will slip into the summer months when publishers realize that, rather than avoiding the Holiday crush of 2009, they simply moved the crush into early 2010.
