One of the most popular and interesting game modes to arrive in Call of Duty Warzone 2 is none other than the Massive Resurgence limited time mode. This mode takes the popular Resurgence experience and expands it to fit the much larger Al Mazrah map. Thankfully, it’s coming back to Warzone 2 players in the near future.

Is Massive Resurgence coming back to Warzone 2?

Massive Resurgence is finally coming back to Warzone 2, after only being available in the game for about a week. Infinity Ward announced that Massive Resurgence Solos and Trios will be available again, starting on May 24, 2023.

The battle royale playlist is likely to only stick around for a short time, similar to its initial appearance. The Duos and Quads version was already available for the week of May 17, 2023. Massive Resurgence, the larger-scale version of the popular respawn-based battle royale experience, first released at the start Warzone 2 Season 3.

When Massive Resurgence first came out, the community’s time with this highly anticipated game mode didn’t last long, as Activision removed it soon after Season 3 came out on April 18, 2023.

Developer Infinity Ward announced that its removal due to an issue with “irregular circle behavior” that made the mode work incorrectly. Thankfully, it return shortly thereafter, but it would only remain in the game after the fix for about a week before being removed again.

Thankfully, it is coming back to the game for the week of May 24, 2023. If you want to see what this mode is all about, be sure to give it a try before it leaves again.

Massive Resurgence limited time mode, explained

The reason why players love Massive Resurgence is its unique take on the popular game mode. Ever since the original Warzone, Resurgence has been a fan-favorite. It takes the smaller maps, such as Ashika Island, and adds a nice respawn twist to it.

Massive Resurgence, though, takes it to a whole new level by letting players experience this unique gameplay on the main battle royale map, Al Mazrah. With around 150 players in the lobby, everyone has unlimited respawns for a period of time, so long as one player in the squad survives.

This adds a layer of excitement and intensity since there are so many players all over the map. This is one excellent way to rack up eliminations and grind weapon levels. With its upcoming return on May 24, be sure to give it a try again before it leaves once more.
