If you’re going to the 2023 Pokemon World Championships, you can snag these exclusive figures

Um, can they not be exclusive?

The Pokemon World Championships are being held this year in Yokohama Japan, and The Pokemon Company has been hyping them up for weeks now. Naturally, there will be merch to buy there, and it looks like there are going to be four exclusive figures based on Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. You might recall seeing these food-fiend-themed figures earlier this year, and you’d be right! They were officially unveiled as part of the logo for the 2023 Championships.

Here’s the full rundown from the tweet:

“If you’re joining us in Yokohama this August, these 2023 World Championships figures featuring Pikachu, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly will be available exclusively at the Pokémon Center Worlds Store! #PokemonWorlds”

Once again the World Championships will feature junior, senior, and masters event qualifiers, with the main event running in August (the date is still TBA).

The Pokemon Company really nailed it with the Scarlet and Violet starters

Cards on the table, I’m not going to Yohokama in August! Maybe I’ll be able to find these on the secondhand market. Either way, there’s no shortage of Pokemon merch, especially when it comes to the adorable Scarlet & Violet trio (and of course, the perpetually-marketable Pikachu).

This past weekend I almost bought a giant Mew statue, so I’m definitely the target market. Plus, who can resist real-life gacha machines with food-based characters? No matter what you pull, you always win.
