If you own Minecraft, you get it free on Windows 10

$10 otherwise

Because Minecraft doesn’t have enough fragmentation already, Mojang has just announced that there will now be a “Windows 10 Edition” of the game that you can buy later this year. If you already own the PC version of Minecraft you can snag this one for free, otherwise, you’ll pay $10 for the privileged to enter another beta.

This is a “new version” of the game that will “develop over time.” Mojang reminds us that the series is available on nearly ever device ever made outside of the Wii U, and that they’re all different. Thankfully, this one will be able to play online with the Pocket Edition of the game by way of an update “after launch.”

Minecraft had its time in my household, and that time was good. At this point though, I’m happy walking away from it for an extended period of time.
