I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream is now on iOS, Android

Not your typical adventure

“I have no mouth, and I must scream” isn’t just a profoundly cool phrase. It’s the name of Harlan Ellison’s short story (read it here!) about a malicious computer who endlessly tortures the world’s few surviving humans. There was also a feel-bad point-and-click adventure game in the mid-’90s.

Night Dive Studios (the group reviving System Shock) and DotEmu have come out with a mobile port of I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. It’s out now on Android and iOS for $3.99.

There are no in-app purchases, although come to think of it, a modern take on this subject matter could get super meta with IAPs if someone were so inclined. What an unpleasant thought!

If you’d rather just play on a computer, it’s also on GOG.com.
