How to unlock the True Love Found achievement in Cult of the Lamb

Reunited and it feels so good

The two ninja cats who served The One Who Waits in Cult of the Lamb aren’t gone forever just because you killed them. There’s an achievement called “True Love Found,” and it’s all about reuniting Aym and Baal with their mother. Be warned though, this achievement takes a lot of time and a bit of luck.

Light and Dark Necklaces

The first step in your journey is by far the most time-consuming. When you collect God Tears and return them to ???, a giant dial is spun. Originally there are four randomly generated prizes each time, but as you collect them there will be three possible prizes instead. You first need a Light necklace to even appear as an option. Then you need the spinner to land on it. Repeat for the Dark necklace.

If you’re incredibly lucky, you will get both necklaces pretty quickly. For most of us though, this part takes a very long time. Collecting God Tears is time-consuming as it is, but the chance to receive both of these necklaces is just out of your control. Eventually, you will get every prize though, so just stick with it.

Once you have the necklaces, you can gift them to Followers. If you want this achievement, consider holding onto the necklaces until you have both. Once gifted, Aym and Baal will take on the level and age of the Follower you select. If one of your brothers dies before you can get the second necklace, you may still be able to loot it from the body, but that isn’t confirmed.

Once your necklaces have been gifted to two of your followers, it’s time to head to the Temple for a good old-fashioned ritual. Choose the “Sacrifice the Flesh” ritual and then select the follower with the Light or Dark necklace. The poor Follower will be terrified, but in the middle of the ritual, they will be replaced. The Light necklace will summon Baal, and the Dark will summon Aym.

They each take a moment to say a few heated words, but then you have two adorable new Followers. There’s a little more waiting time here due to the ritual cooldown time. In the meantime, the cat ninja brothers join cult life just like any other member.

Find the Shopkeeper

In order to get the “True Love Found” achievement though, Aym and Baal have to go home. Similar to how you can return Ratoo’s heart to him, you can return the brothers to their mother, Forneus. The sweet shopkeeper who offers you gifts is actually the mother of the two little ruffians who served The One Who Waits.

Using a level two or higher Demonic Summoning Circle, you can choose Aym and Baal to accompany you on a dungeon run. Keep an eye out for a shop room for a chance to run into Forneus. Once the three have been reunited, you won’t have them in your cult anymore, but they may still appear on your runs from time to time. They all look so happy when they are brought back together again. It’s a sweet retirement for the two former henchmen.

You get to walk away with a new achievement and maybe even a warm, fuzzy feeling. Oh yeah, and you get two new relics too! Forneus gives you the “Blessed Tears of the Vengeful Father” and the “Damned Tears of the Merciful Mother” as a gift.
