How to turn off Scramblecoin requests in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You can get away from villagers now

Love it or hate it, Scramblecoin is a mainstay in Disney Dreamlight Valley. The minigame itself isn’t too intrusive, even if you never play, but having characters stalk you through the Valley to try and play with you can be a bit much. Thankfully, the February 28 update can help.

As part of the update, though not explicitly mentioned within the update notes, players can now delve into their settings in order to turn off Scramblecoin requests from villagers, something which has pleased a lot of players.

Unless you make a habit of browsing through the game settings after updates, you’re unlikely to find this setting by accident. That doesn’t mean that it’s difficult to find, though.

All you need to do is press ESC and open up the Settings, navigating to Gameplay on the left hand side. Here, you’ll find the option to turn requests off.

Can I still play Scramblecoin if I turn requests off?

Yes! Turning Scramblecoin requests off only prevents villagers from chasing you across the Valley in order to play with you. You can still talk to any villager and ask them to play and those who would otherwise have requested to play will still provide bonus points.

You can always turn requests on to find out who will provide these bonus points, before turning them off again once you’ve finished playing for the day.
