The Battle for Brooklyn DLC is now live in The Division 2, and you can enjoy a new campaign as part of the Division storyline.
The new expansion also marks the start of the Crossroads season, which includes plenty of changes. While the new DLC seems pretty interesting, there’s some confusion among fans about how to access it.
How to play the Battle for Brooklyn DLC in the Division 2
A major point of confusion seems to be around the availability of the DLC. If you go to the Ubisoft Store and Steam, you’ll find that the Ultimate Edition includes the new DLC. If you’re an old owner like me, however, there’s bad news. Although you have purchased the Ultimate Edition in the past, it doesn’t include the new DLC.

Yes, we are supposed to have received the DLC as part of our Ultimate Edition, but that’s no longer the case. Instead, the only option is to purchase the DLC separately. It’s available in two editions: the DLC itself and the Deluxe edition. Either works, so purchase as per your budget.
Once done, go to the White House and go to the pilot located in the gardens. The game will give you the option to choose between New York and Brooklyn. Assuming you have cleared the first (if not, complete that one first), pick Brooklyn.
This will be followed by a loading screen (there’s a bug, so try to be patient) and a cutscene involving a helicopter. You’ll then land in Brooklyn with the objective of completing the first mission. The Battle for Brooklyn automatically promotes your character to Level 40 and adds a few more perks. That’s all you need to do to get access to the missions that are part of the new DLC.
If you haven’t owned the Ultimate Edition in the past, you can just opt for the new one, which will save you more money (compared to getting the expansions separately).
