Not only will it make you look like a nice and friendly gamer, but it can also help you complete the High-Fivist Trophy, which is necessary if you want to get 100% completion in XDefiant. Unfortunately, Ubisoft doesn’t really explain the High-Five system very well, which is why I’ve put together this guide to help you out.

Sending High-Fives in XDefiant: Explained

While the achievement calls them High-Fives, they don’t appear as that in-game. Instead, they are green thumbs-up icons that appear at the end of matches to show the appreciation of your teammates.

You can view what they look like below, and please ignore the fact that nobody sent me any. Also don’t look at the big “LOSERS” sign behind us. It was my first game on.

If someone on your team has done well or had a moment that saved the game for you, then here’s how you send a High-Five.

To send High-Fives in XDefiant, simply hover over the player you want to congratulate and press A, X, or Enter if you’re using a keyboard. A green thumbs-up will then appear above their card.

Remember, you can only do this once per match, so don’t give it to the lowest-performing player if you don’t really mean it. There’s not restriction on how many you get though, so if you absolutely dominate, you may end up with five thumbs-ups above your name. Impressive.
