Jirachi has arrived in Pokopia, and if you want to get them to stick around permanently, you need to give them a cozy place to call home. This means you’ll need to set up the right habitat for them.
Every Pokémon is unique, as are the environments they require to move in. It can be quite tricky to figure out what’s required, and you won’t want to miss out on recruiting a new friend, so here’s how to make a Surrounded by Stars habitat for Jirachi in Pokopia.

What habitat does Jirachi need in Pokopia?

There’s only one type of abode that Jirachi likes, which is the Surrounded by Stars habitat. It’s one of the trickier ones to set up, as it calls for an array of exclusive furniture you can only unlock by participating in the Wish Upon a Jirachi event.
How to make a habitat for Jirachi in Pokopia
The Surrounded by Stars habitat Jirachi needs includes four items:
- One Star Closet
- One Cloud Table
- One Starry-Sky Bed
- One Jirachi Lamp
All four items can be acquired from Jirachi inside the Pokémon Center after starting the Wish Upon a Jirachi event. Each one costs one shiny wish note to unlock, so they’re not too expensive, but you will need to complete at least four requests from Pokémon in need to earn the amount needed to make this habitat.
The required items for the Surrounded by Stars habitat are only available while the event is active. Because of this, you need to ensure you grab all four sometime before July 8. It may return in the future, but this isn’t guaranteed, so don’t miss out on building it now if you want to guarantee Jirachi stays around.

As is the case with all other habitats, you can set up these four items in any way you like as long as they’re fairly close to one another. To actually complete this environment, you must power the Jirachi Lamp, so make sure you either connect some electricity to it or bring a Pokémon over to charge it up.
If you don’t have electricity just yet, focus on progressing the main storyline over in the Bleak Beach area, as you’ll naturally unlock it once you get toward the end of it. Even if you don’t have electricity at the start of this event, you’ve got about two weeks to work through the Bleak Beach storyline to make it happen, so you can then get the habitat set up for Jirachi to stay in town. Permanent electricity for this habitat is nice, but all you really need is a Pokémon to charge it up, like Pawmo or Mareep, which you can find quite early on.
While the Wish Upon a Jirachi event is active, Jirachi won’t move into this habitat, as they’re busy supplying you with rewards. Once it’s over, though, you can get them to move in here to ensure they hang around as a permanent resident.
