How to hit Spires in different matches in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 3

Prepare for a fight.

Completing all of your available weekly quests is one of the most efficient ways to earn lots of XP in Fortnite. They’re sometimes decently challenging to figure out, though, as is the case with the hit Spires in different matches mission.

Since you’re not given any additional guidance for this task, figuring out how to tackle it can be quite difficult. It’s not too tricky to get done once you understand what’s being asked of you, though, so here’s how to hit Spires in different matches in Fortnite.

What are Spires in Fortnite?

Spires are mini boss battles you can tackle all around the island, involving both Overlord Spires and Scout Spires. They’re essentially a giant floating rock that hovers in the sky and can be destroyed to claim some special rewards.

When you get close to a Spire, it will automatically start attacking you with everything it’s got, including an array of demon guards it spawns in for protection. Spires also shoot a deadly laser designed to quickly drain your health, so ensuring you have plenty of loot to back you up is crucial when taking on these formidable foes.

If you manage to destroy a Spire, you’ll be rewarded with some pretty solid loot. For beating one, I’ve gotten an Unstable Exotic Weapon, a Boon, Legendary weapons, Epic weapons, consumables, ammo, and gold bars.

Your loot will always include an Unstable Exotic Weapon when taking down an Overlord Spire and always feature a Boon when eliminating a Scout Spire. The rest of the loot you get alongside these key items is fairly random and changes each time.

To complete the hit Spires in different matches quest, you need to strike any type of Spire once in three separate rounds. For the purposes of this task, you don’t actually need to defeat the Spire. Instead, you just need to shoot or strike one once a total of three times across three matches.

Where to find Spires in Fortnite

The toughest part of this task is finding a Spire you can hit. Spire locations change in each match, and there are generally about six you can find around the island, including mostly Scout Spires and around one to two Overlord Spires.

If you’re not sure where to find them, open your map after the match begins. Look for the white diamond-like icons all around the map and make your way to any of these locations. Spires usually spawn all across the vast island, so there are always plenty of options to choose from. If another player destroys one, it won’t be available to attack any longer, so make sure you work on this quest early on in the match to avoid running out of Spires to fight.

There are many other missions you may need to work on after completing this quest. Next, consider using Spire Remnants to build a monument to the fallen academy, consuming different food or drink items at BURD To Go gas stationshitting hero practice targets at different hero training outposts, and assembling surveillance gear at Demon’s Domain.
