One of CONTROL Resonant‘s first side quests leads you to a dog that’s whimpering and barking at you, desperate for your help. Lucky for her, you’re just the person she needs.
Dylan can help the dog find her missing toy, and you can usually tell you’re close by barking and, sometimes, upon seeing a billboard for Chowrap drop food. Here’s how to solve this side quest.

How to help the dog in CONTROL Resonant
You can help the dog by bringing her the teal dragon she carries around with her. It’s always nearby, but you usually have to jump through a few Hiss to grab it. The dog is probably normal, and there just happens to be seven identical golden retrievers scattered in increasingly odd locations in Manhattan, right?
Mysterious Dog location in Downtown
This is probably the first time you’ll find our canine companion, and it’s the easiest one to find. Her plushie is just across from her, on the other side of a building. Grab it and place it safely on her bed to score some points with her.
Mysterious Dog location in Central
Poor thing, looks like our dog lost her toy again! And this time, it’s surrounded by Hiss-powered lasers and other assorted creatures. Turn around and look for it down on the ground, below a perfectly placed Chowrap sign, then bring it back to her.
Mysterious Dog location in the West Incursion Zone
Our houndish heroine is by the Parking Garage in the West Incursion Zone, standing on an inverted wall. Guys, I think this dog might not be entirely normal…
Her dragon toy is right across from her once more, resting on another upside-down wall. Jump to it, grab it, then look for the dog on the wall with the water tank on it.
Mysterious Dog location in the Evacuation Zone
The dog is on an upside-down rooftop between the Main Street and Railway Station dimensional doors, close to a pair of Chowrap signs. It’s a lot easier to get to her if you have the Reach ability from the Fault in this area, so make sure to grab it.
Face the dog and look to your left to find her trusty pet dragon on an upside-down rooftop across from you. To secure it, just double jump and levitate to reach the ceiling above you, then cling to that wall, grab the dragon, and fall back. Easy, peasy.
Mysterious Dog location in the Park
This one is a bit tricky. You’ll spot the mysterious dog in the northeast part of the Park, near the Mold Factory dimensional door. Her dragon is on a ledge across the street from her, by a nonfunctional elevator.
Run toward the electricity station on your map and look for a breakable ceiling door. Break it down to find two generators inside. From there, pass the electricity from the station to the generator, then take that current into the elevator near the purple dragon. This lets you reach it and bring it home safe and sound. You can also do it in one go, but the timing is tight.
Mysterious Dog location in the Underpass
Did you think our trusty friend would abandon you just because you entered a sinkhole leading to the depths of the Oldest House? Absolutely not.
The elusive teal dragon is on the ceiling above the dog, defying gravity once again. You can’t jump high enough to reach it straight on, but you can go around and to the side. Look for a wall you can Shift onto, then follow the path until you see the dragon. Bring it back to the dog to cross this one off your list.
Mysterious Dog location in the Unknown Zone
The Unknown Zone, a place that defies gravity, time, and matter… and, of course, so does our docile damsel. Find her near the Tower Island fast travel point, on the area’s northwestern island. Her dragon is very far away this time: it’s at the top of the skyscraper across from you, and there’s no one straightforward way to get there.
Use Reach to climb onto the water tank, then the billboard nearby. Head to the end of the balcony and step on the inverted wall in front of you, changing your gravity. Hop to the building with a skull drawn on it, then jump and stand on the beams above you. Use the gravitational anomaly again, then take a right and head to the end of the building to see the dragon on a bench near the air ducts. Take it to the dog, and that’s pretty much a wrap on the quest. Though you never know—she seems to appear in places you never expect…
