Tracking down any one type of Sprite is rather tough, as the island is vast, and there are plenty of them roaming around. If you’re hoping to secure a powerful little friend, here’s how to get an X-Ray Sprite in Fortnite.

How to find X-Ray Sprite in Fortnite
The X-Ray Sprite is Legendary, which means it’s one of the rarest Sprites on the island and is pretty difficult to locate. Just like the process for most other Sprites, there’s no one guaranteed method for finding and getting this one, which means all you can do is loot around the island and hope luck is on your side.
There are many different ways you can go looting for Sprites, and all of them have a chance of granting this one as a reward. If you’re unsure where to begin, here’s a breakdown of all the methods you can use to have a shot at acquiring an X-Ray Sprite.
- Find and enter Cheat Codes. Generally, finding and entering Cheat Codes is the best method for finding an X-Ray Sprite. All Cheat Codes are guaranteed to drop a Sprite, while any other looting method isn’t. For the best chances of finding this Legendary Sprite, seek out purple or better Cheat Code spots. Blue ones are very unlikely to have one, so you’ll need to find rarer Cheat Codes for a shot at unlocking the X-Ray Sprite with this method.
- Open blue chests. Finding and opening shiny blue chests is another great way to find rare Sprites. You may come across these containers while looting anywhere around the island, but they’re a lot more common at boosted loot POIs, which are marked with shiny blue letters on the map in each round.
- Fish out of gold spots. Golden fishing spots have better loot overall, making them another viable option for finding the X-Ray Sprite. These spots are typically pretty rare, but a special Match Override can be activated to turn all fishing holes golden. When this happens, fish as much as you can to have a solid chance of finding the X-Ray Sprite and other rare ones, too.
- Find it as loot anywhere else. You technically have a shot at finding this Sprite while looting anything anywhere on the island. This means that if you’re incredibly lucky, you could even find it just wandering around out in the open. Because of this, try your best to loot around a lot when you’re hunting for it, and keep your eyes peeled at all times.
X-Ray Sprite location in Fortnite
Unfortunately, there’s no guaranteed spawn location or area for the X-Ray Sprite. Sometimes, certain Sprites do get fixed spawn spots or special options where you’re guaranteed to find them, but as of the time of writing, there’s not one for this particular Sprite. This could change in future updates, though, so if any guaranteed method for acquiring this Sprite surfaces, we’ll add it here.
