The main process for acquiring Sprites in Chapter Seven, season four of Fortnite looks a lot different than it does when this mechanic was first introduced. This season, the main method you use for getting them is finding and entering Cheat Codes.
There’s never been a gameplay element like this one before, so it can be a bit tricky to figure out and use. It’s an essential component to get used to, though, so here’s how to find and enter Cheat Codes in Fortnite.

How to find Cheat Codes in Fortnite

You can find Cheat Codes anywhere on the Fortnite island by looking out for a teal glow indicator while exploring. This indicator is the same shape and size as the golden glow that highlights chests, but it’s a different color and has a collection of four arrows as its symbol instead of a chest.
Whenever you spot this glow, it means there’s a hidden Cheat Code console somewhere nearby. This works the exact same as chests, which means you just need to scour every inch of the nearby area until you manage to spot it.
Some Cheat Code consoles are in plain sight, but the vast majority of the ones I’ve found have been hidden or concealed in some way. Sometimes, you may have to break walls or objects to find them tucked away in a secret corner.
You’re looking for a blue panel situated somewhere close to the Cheat Code glow you spot. It might be hanging on a wall, attached to a box, or otherwise fixed on just about any flat, upright surface.

How to enter Cheat Codes in Fortnite
To enter a Cheat Code, approach the console you find, interact with it, and press the arrows in the exact same order that the image displays. For example, in the image right above, the code I needed to enter was down, right, up, and right. Each Cheat Code console you come across will look different, so the key is to copy the order of the arrows exactly to enter the code and claim your reward.
Cheat Code rewards in Fortnite
Successfully entering a Cheat Code grants you one of the Chapter Seven, season four Sprites. The Sprite you get is random each time, so sometimes you might get pretty common versions like the starting Sprites, while other times you may instead come across Mythic or Legendary variants.
