How to complete the Dealmaker DMZ mission in Modern Warfare 2

Wheeling and dealing in Al Mazrah

One of the latest DMZ missions in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 has players engaging with the new barter system. Allowing players to trade for special in-match items, this mission is essentially a tutorial for making use of this valuable new mechanic.

How to complete the MW2 Dealmaker DMZ mission

The MW2 Dealmaker DMZ mission was released in Season 3. This particular mission asks players to find three extremely rare materials on Al Mazrah and take them to a buy station to trade them. Here are the three items you’ll need for the mission:

  • An electric drill
  • A gas can
  • One Golden Skull

Once you have all three of these items, head to the nearest buy station and trade them in. The only hard part is finding the three materials in the first place. Thankfully, I’ve got your back with where to find all three of them on the Al Mazrah map.

Where to find an electric drill

The first step in this DMZ mission is to find an electric drill. This is a fairly rare material that you’ll need a bit of luck to find. It can randomly appear in just about any loot container, such as a bag or locker.

That said, there is, fortunately, a way to improve your chances of discovering this item in a DMZ match. If you are able to locate a garage or warehouse in the game, such as the outskirts of Al Mazrah City, you have much higher chances of finding this item lying around there.

How to get a gas can

The second item that you’ll need to find is a gas can. This is one of the easier items, too, due to the fact that they are generally found in the same spots. As you might expect, you’ll commonly find gas cans at gas stations.

There are dozens of these all over the massive DMZ map, but there is a huge cluster of them around the Hydroelectric point of interest. There are about four of them on the outskirts of this area.

In addition, there are a few gas stations near the main roads leading out of Al Mazrah City. I recommend heading here to keep your search in the same general region.

Golden Skull location

Finally, the Golden Skull is the toughest item to find. Not only is it exceedingly rare on the map, but it is a challenge to get to. They are mostly random, but the best guarantee for finding a Golden Skull is heading to a police station that has been taken over by the NPC enemies.

There are three police stations on the map, as follows:

  • Southeast of Al Sa’id
  • East side of the Marshlands
  • Northwestern corner of Al Mazrah City

Once again, I suggest heading to the Al Mazrah City location so that you can easily find all three items in one match. There should be a lot of NPC enemies here, so watch out for them. Golden Skulls usually spawn inside of the station, so carefully look all over.

Once you find all three items, head to the nearest buy station, tab over to the barter section, and trade the three items for a Secure Backpack to finish the Dealmaker DMZ mission.
