How to complete Playful Dog duty in Disney Dreamlight Valley
To complete the Playful Dog duty for Parks Fest in DDV, you need to craft one Slinky Dog Popcorn Bucket. There are several special event Popcorn Buckets you can make, each tied to a special duty in the event. For Playful Dog, the only one that counts is the Slinky variant, so you must make this one to check it off.
How to craft Slinky Popcorn Bucket in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Like all Popcorn Buckets, the Slinky one requires a bunch of Parks Fest Buttons to craft. This includes Green Buttons, Flower Buttons, Blue Buttons, and Red Buttons. Here’s how many you need of each variant and what you need to do to get them.

This handy machine is unlocked during the Cheshire Cat’s level seven The Uncrafting Station quest and can be used to break down Popcorn Buckets you made to get the Buttons back. You’ll lose the placeable furniture versions of Popcorn Buckets when you uncraft them, but the accessory versions remain unlocked, and any duties tied to crafting them stay complete.
How to unlock Slinky Popcorn Bucket in Disney Dreamlight Valley
There are two unlockable versions of the Slinky Popcorn Bucket item, and the process for getting both is tied together. To unlock the recipe for making these items, you need to complete Woody’s Checkerboard Chums event quest. In this mission, he tasks you with gathering 20 Tinkering Parts, 10 Glass, and 20 Fabric for him.
Playful Dog reward in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Completing the Playful Dog quest gets you two prizes, which are the Slinky Dog Popcorn Bucket furniture item and the Slinky Dog Handheld Popcorn Bucket accessory item. The two items have the same appearance, but can be used in vastly different ways, as one can be equipped to your outfit while the other can be placed anywhere in the valley.
