“Building Bridges” is one of the shortest and quickest side quests in Octopath Traveler 2. However, like many quests in the game, information is sparse, and it’s not immediately obvious to know what to do. The quest stars a young human boy in Toto’haha who wants to befriend residents of the beastling side of the village. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how to introduce himself to his neighbors. That’s where the hero comes in. To help the boy, you’ll need to retrieve the Amulet of Affection.

How to get the Amulet of Affection in Octopath Traveler 2

To get the Amulet of Affection, you will need to have either ThronĆ© or Partitio in your party.Ā After picking your chosen hero of the day, head west from the well to the beastling side of the village. Once you get to the elevated huts, you’re in the right place. As seen in the picture below, talk to the beastling girl at the base of the first hut.

She will talk about how she has an amulet to give as a token of friendship, as is customary to her people. The easiest way to get the amulet is to have ThronĆ© steal it. The Amulet of Affection has a 100% theft success rate, so don’t worry about failing.

Alternatively, Partitio can use his purchase ability to buy the amulet from the girl.

After getting the amulet from the girl, head back to the well and give it to the boy. He’ll be happy to have a way to introduce himself to his new friends, and the quest is complete!
