If you’re looking to earn lots of XP, tackling island story quests is one of the best ways to do so in Fortnite. Some of these quests can be a bit tricky to get done, so you may need some help working through them.
Although these aren’t the same as the main story quests, they’re still essential to tackle if you want to know all the lore in this season. They get you familiar with some new faces and help you catch up with old ones. Here’s how to complete all island story quests in Fortnite.

All island story quests and how to complete them in Fortnite Chapter 6, season 3
There are six sets of island story quests you can complete in Fortnite, all of which have several unique tasks you need to get done in them. These six quest series are as follows.
- Shadows of the Shard quests
- Robin’s Training quests
- Heart of the Sprites quests
- Brothers of Mask & Blade quests
- A Golden Shadow quests
- Skillet’s Scheme quests
Shadows of the Shard quests in Fortnite
Hope has four quests for you to tackle in the Shadows of the Shard quest series, although one of her tasks asks you to work on another island quest series, so it feels like a bit more. You need to meet up with two important NPCs for these tasks.

Robin’s Training quests in Fortnite
Robin has three quests for you to get done in the Robin’s Training quest series, all of which are fairly easy to tackle as long as you manage to get a Wingshot Grappler.

Heart of the Sprites quests in Fortnite
There are three Heart of the Sprites quests you need to get done with Jade. Her tasks ask you to interact with Dash Sprites, which are small creatures that can be found wandering around the island.

Brothers of Mask & Blade quests in Fortnite
Perhaps the trickiest quest series of all is Brothers of Mask & Blade, which has five tasks for you to get done. This is by far the most complex set of quests, with several imposing boss battles you need to work on.

A Golden Shadow quests in Fortnite
There are four tasks you need to get done for Midas in the A Golden Shadow series. One of these quests asks you to fully finish another set of island story quests, though, so it feels like a lot more than just four.

Skillet’s Scheme quests in Fortnite
Skillet’s got five tasks for you to tackle in the Skillet’s Scheme quest series. These quests mostly involve tracking down and chatting with various characters, so you’ll need to know where all NPCs are to get them done.

Island story quests can be a bit glitchy, so you may sometimes run into issues while completing them. The progress for them sometimes doesn’t seem to track properly, so if you finish a step but notice it’s not done, you may need to wait until the next round to move forward. You can try tackling the next step since all of them are listed here, but it might not actually count towards your progress.
These tasks are also different from regular story quests, so to keep up with the main storyline, you also need to tackle those. This includes key tasks like the Trials of Morgan Myst and copying the actions of Morgan Myst’s shadow proxies.
