At every turn, Fortnite Treasure Hunters challenges you to embark on all kinds of tricky scavenger hunts. Just about every mission and every item you can find around the island involves some kind of treasure hunt, as is the case with the collect map fragments quest.
This is one of the most difficult tasks you’ll face, as it requires a lot of time, effort, and careful searching to get it done. It does grant a pretty special prize for completion, though, so here’s how to collect map fragments in Fortnite Treasure Hunters.

Collect map fragments in Fortnite
To complete the collect map fragments quest in Fortnite, you need to carefully scour the island to find and collect six map fragments. This quest is a bit of a tough one to get done, as it’s an overarching goal for the entire mini-season rather than a task you can get done right away.
Each week, a new map fragment will be added to the island. Because of this, you cannot complete this mission all at once, and instead need to work on it over time as the season progresses.
Throughout the season, a fresh map fragment will arrive as each new section of the Adventure tab is unlocked. These fragments correspond to the arrival of additional special characters around the island, like Lil Uzi Vert, A$AP Rocky, and Cap’n Hatsune Miku.
Since you need to collect a total of six map fragments, this mission takes a full six weeks to get done. You can check the Adventure section under the Treasure tab on the home page to see which part of this quest is live.

All map fragments in Fortnite
Each of the six map fragments can only be found at one specific location around the Fortnite island. All of them are only available to collect after their initial unlock date has arrived, so you have to wait to collect them all.
Here’s when each map fragment unlocks and a breakdown of where to find each one. Some details have been revealed for map fragments ahead of their arrival, while others are entirely unknown. We’ll update all details here as they become available to help you obtain them all.

Collect map fragments in Fortnite quest reward
Fully finishing the collect map fragments quest unlocks the X Marks The Zero Point Sliver Loading Screen as a reward. This is a completely free reward that’s automatically granted once you’ve successfully gathered all six map fragments. You also get 10,000 XP for each piece you find.
While you wait for more map fragments to unlock, there are lots of other missions to keep you busy around the island. Some good ones to work on are using Sprite Wanted Posters to dig up and open Sprite Chests, unlocking all Treasure Hunters battle pass skins, and solving the Frog Statue puzzle.
