How to change name in Disney Dreamlight Valley

It's time for a change.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s initial settings limited various customization specs for the player’s unique avatar. Fortunately, the Laugh Update makes it much more personal through the new name change feature. Here’s how to find this setting option for your avatar.

The name change feature in Disney Dreamlight Valley can be found in the Settings section via the Help tab. Scroll down the list of selections, and hit the ‘Change Avatar Name’ button. The alteration must be more than two letters in order for it to work successfully.

There’s no limit to these name changes, so you can do as many as you like. Nonetheless, profanity will not be accepted, resulting in a string of asterisks.

If the feature hasn’t appeared in Settings, check if the new Disney Dreamlight Valley update has been installed. The patch will take a few minutes to download and will mandate a restart for the game. Once the alteration is done, the dialogue scenes will now feature the name change. So, anytime you feel like trying out a new persona, whether it be a monster or a skeleton, amend this tool at any time.

The Settings tab also features an ‘Import Avatar’ option from the Early Access Designer Tool. The tool provides an avatar code for the input and can only be used once per character. Additional improvements to the playable character may arrive with future patches, thanks to the game’s constant updates.
