Weapon Amplification has completely changed the endgame in ARC Raiders. It serves as the fifth upgrade tier for our guns, making them substantially better.
However, this is an endgame system, and you’ll have to complete several steps to begin the process. First, let’s find out how to unlock Amplification.

How to unlock Amplification in ARC Raiders
The Frozen Trail update has added the Outpost for us to unlock and furnish. However, it also plays an important role in the Amplification system. To amplify your weapons, you’ll first need to unlock and build your Outpost. We have a detailed guide to help you get started.
- Complete the Research Topside Living Conditions objective.
- Gather all the required building materials.
- Safeguard the site by dealing damage to the designated ARCs and get your Outpost.
Once you have the Outpost ready, get it to Level 4. Here are all the requirements.

| Level | Unlocks | Requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Level 2 | Research Station Level II New Room | 3 Steel Cable 20 Sheet Metal 3 Cable Strippers |
| Level 3 | New Room | 3 Epoxy Buckets 35 Planks 3 Hand Drills |
| Level 4 | Gunsmith IV Research Station Level IV New Room | 40 Sheet Metal 3 Laser Levels 3 Insulation Rolls |
Once you have the Outpost upgraded to Level 4, you can then upgrade the Gunsmith to level 4.
Assuming you already have it at Level 3, you’ll need the following items.
- Three Radial Press
- Three Magnetic Accelerators
- One Emperor Modulator
How to get Amplified weapons in ARC Raiders
Amplification is essentially the fifth upgrade available for different guns. As of writing, 15 guns have relevant Amplifications available for them. You can find all the options in this guide. Every gun has at least two Amplification options, but it can rise to four.

- To amplify a weapon, you’ll require Amplification Modules.
- Amplification Modules range between Mk. I and Mk. V.
- These are not rarities: Mk. I will unlock the common Amplifications, while Mk. V unlocks the Legendary.
The only known way to get these modules is either from Frigates or from inside the fallen Emperor. While the odds are decent, going on the Frigate can be incredibly risky if you’re not careful enough.
You’ll also need two additional materials: Pneumatic Actuator and Pressure Regulator. I haven’t found them anywhere apart from Emperor Payload, so they’re not that common. You’ll also need to play on the Pendola Pass map when the Redirection map condition is live.
