We now have a new home on the surface in ARC Raiders, but to do so, you will first need to unlock the Outpost. The Outpost requires us to complete specific in-game objectives first, and then we will also need the materials to build it from the ground up. In this guide, I will briefly explain the process.

How to get your Outpost in ARC Raiders
If you enter the game now, after the launch of the Frozen Tail update, you will find a dedicated output button at the top of the screen. This will begin the questline for us to gain our home. First, we have to research the topside living conditions.
Research Topside living conditions
For this task, we will need to find out more about the condition of the surface and whether we can actually inhabit it. As evidence, you will need to click a photo of any farmland house at the ruined homestead location.
The ruined homestead is a very popular POI near the Olive Garden on the Blue Gate map. If you’re a complete beginner, you will first have to unlock the Blue Gate map and then head to the ruined homestead. You will find several farmland houses at this location, and you have to take a picture of any one of them.

Requirements
Next, we will need to get the required materials to complete the construction.

| Three Planks | You can just buy them from Celeste by trading Assorted Seeds. |
| Five Sheet Metal | I found plenty in the Railyard on Pendola Pass. You can find them from any Industrial area on all maps. |
| 10 ARC Alloy | One of the easiest materials to get since you find from every ARC salvage. |
| Three Advanced Electronic Parts | You can craft them at the Refinery for three Wires and Two Electrical Components. You can also find them from Electrical zones of maps as loot. |
Protect the building site
To set up your Outpost, you’ll need to protect the spot. There are two objectives to complete.
- Deal 800 damage to flying enemies.
- Deal 300 damage to Bullies (one of the three new ARCs added in the Frozen Trail update).
Complete both these objectives, and you’ll have your Outpost ready for you to customize with Furniture and decorations.
