Halo 4’s Crimson Map Pack targeting December 10

New mode detailed

The first in a planned trio of map packs for Halo 4, the Crimson Map Pack (800 Microsoft Points), is scheduled to introduce three new locales for War Games on Monday, December 10. The maps are titled Wreckage, Harvest, and Shatter (shown above); 343 Industries has images of all three, so take a look if you’re eager to play in some new environments.

On the same day, Halo 4 matchmaking will gain access to another mode, Extraction. In it, two five-player teams compete by placing and protecting their beacon in specific extraction sites to earn points. How are you holding up? Is this extra content coming soon enough? I’m particularly liking the art design for Shatter.
