I’m not much of a fighting game guy — the only move I ever memorized was BACK, BACK, PUNCH… “GET OVER HERE!” — but those of you who are are in for quite a treat tonight!
Not only is King Foom giving out DLC codes for the latest batch of Street Fighter X Tekken characters on Mash Tactics, but FIVE of you are signed up to host the new Persona 4 Arena game! (Not surprising, since our own Dale North gave it a 9 in his review.) Add that to the MLG tournament currently broadcasting live, and that’s a lot of foightin’!
Back back punchin’ not your thing? Fret not! Fans of speed shooting can join Arttemis for a round or two of Tribes Ascend on the new Destructoid server! Prefer something a bit more “realistic”? Why not apply to one of our Battlefield 3 platoons and join ChillyBilly or CornflakeJustice for a match? Like snowboarding? KingSigy is hosting SSX! Prefer go karts and turtle shells? New to FNF? Read this! Each week, a bunch of us Dtoiders get together to play videogames online! It’s a 100% community-run event, so feel free to join in or even host something yourself!
The planning for FNF starts in the forums, where community members sign up to host matches and post their pertinent details (game, time, Gamertag, etc.). Then, every Friday, reminder posts go up in the community blogs thanks to a dedicated group of volunteers, and I recap it all here on the front page to give it a bit more exposure.
