Free-to-play Super Monday Night Combat sounds fantastic

Uber Entertainment’s next game is an extension of Monday Night Combat with a greater emphasis on multiplayer online battle arena elements. Dubbed Super Monday Night Combat, this new third-person shooter will be found among the growing horde of free-to-play PC titles.

Kotaku has the debut trailer and a bunch of information about the enhancements being made to remedy MNC‘s problems. I was most interested by the talk about the game’s pay scheme. “If people want to accelerate their power curve — if they want, they can pay to do that,” says creative director John Comes.

“If they really want to get a brand new skin that just came out, they can pay money to do that, but, overall, we’re believers in not doing [things] the evil monetization way.” Continuing: “You literally could spend zero dollars and be entertained for a long time. That’s really important to us.”

I need Super Monday Night Combat.
