Final Fantasy IX drops on Steam in the dead of night

After weeks of teasing an imminent release, Square Enix just dropped the Steam version of Final Fantasy IX out into the world.

It brings in all of the extras you’ve come to expect from recent PC ports, like achievements, an auto-save function, an increased resolution, and “boosters,” which can turn off encounters with the press of a button or jack up the game’s speed.
