FFXIV Make it Rain Campaign will bring the now infamous Kappa suit to Eorzea on May 15

Sakaguchi will be pleased

The run-up to Dawntrail is filled with events in Final Fantasy XIV, and the next one will run alongside the Moogle Treasure Trove. The Make it Rain Campaign is back and this time, as one of the rewards, players can finally get their hands on the glorious Kappa Suit.

Made infamous by the father of Final Fantasy himself, Hironobu Sakaguchi, cosplaying in the suit at Fan Festival, the Kappa Suit has been long awaited. The wait is almost over though, as the Make it Rain Campaign will begin on May 15, running until May 31.

To begin the event, players will need to head to the Gold Saucer and talk to Quevain (X:9.4, Y:9.2), picking up the starting quest called “Of Impish Importance”.

As well as the Kappa Suit itself, players will also be able to get their hands on some new furniture items:

The Cactuar Dining Table and the Senor Sabotender Chronometer will likely be available to purchase during the Make it Rain Campaign 2024, with the Kappa Suit being rewarded for completing this year’s event quest(s).

As well as this year’s exclusive rewards up for grabs, players can enjoy a boost in terms of how much MGP they can earn by taking part in Gold Saucer attractions such as GATEs, Cactpot, and other minigames.

Some Gold Saucer exclusive rewards also receive a reduction in price, as well, so this event is a good time to get your hands on huge stacks of MGP for those rewards you’ve been after. As for me, I’m still saving up for the Fenrir mount, so maybe I will finally be able to get my hands on the pup.
