Faust vs Faust in Guilty Gear Strive is too much power for PlayStation to handle

Is there a doctor in the house?

Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Strive is set to wow fans with its beautiful artwork and intense, over-the-top action. On-screen chaos is practically a series trademark, after all. But it appears that once the creepy-as-heel surgeon Faust steps into the ring against his doppelganger, a glitch could make things a little too hot to handle, quite literally.

As noted by Eventhubs, an amusing (if unlikely) bug has been discovered by GG Strive player Straycats41. It seems that should both Faust players simultaneously hit the scalpel-wielding maniac’s “What Could This Be?” Overdrive, the ensuing cataclysm can actually cause the game to glitch out and crash to the dashboard! DESTROYED!

This glitch does require every projectile pulled out to be a meteor. Not only that, but the Faust glitch only takes place on Strive‘s “busiest” stages, so the chances of this crash happening are exceedingly rare. But still, it seems that should the moon and the… err… meteors align correctly, then both the PS4 and PS5 editions will choose to peace out. You can check out a video of the glitch in action in the tweet below. That Faust, what a japester!

Guilty Gear Strive will jump back into the ring on PlayStation and PC platforms on June 11. But GG devotees who bagged the Premium Edition can jump into Early Acces right now.
