Purveyor of video game merch, Fangamer, has released a plush of the protagonist of 2021’s Chicory: A Colorful Tale. And, oh my gosh, just look at it.

Designed by Alexis Dean-Jones and Audrey Waner, this Pizza plush is 8” tall. It comes with a magnetic paintbrush that attaches to their hand and includes a set of washable markers so you can draw on them. It’s a rather cute nod to the game, where you could draw on anything in the game world, and even paint your character to customize them.

Chicory: A Colorful Tale was Destructoid’s 2021 Game of the Year. I personally handled the review of it, and if I’m not mistaken, it still is my highest scored game at a 9.5. I really connected with the themes of depression, anxiety, and imposter syndrome. It hit hard during one of the most difficult times of my life, and helped me gain confidence when I was just starting to get my feet on the ground at Destructoid.

I completely forgot the protagonist has the default name of Pizza. It asks you to enter your favorite food at the start of the game, so I named my hero Tacos. I at least remembered they weren’t named Chicory, because that’s the name of the burnt-out bunny who helps you along. I really relate to that bunny.

Damn, that was a good game.

The Pizza plush from Chicory: A Colorful Tale is available now at Fangamer for $32 USD.
