Square Enix’s Last Remnant popped up out of nowhere some time ago, but it was just a name, with no story and hardly any visual content to connect to it. We didn’t see or hear much of anything on the title until later this year. Finally, at TGS, we had a chance to play just a little bit of it. And we really liked what we were able to see. In fact, just a few days ago, we called it the “next big Square Enix console release.”

Famitsu seems to be on the same page, scoring Last Remnant 38 out of 40 in the latest issue, says CVG. Scores broke down as 10/10/9/9, earning this RPG a Platinum Award.  Of course, Famitsu isn’t the end-all in game reviews, so check back here soon for our review.

High Famitsu score or no, I’m still looking forward to the worldwide release on November 20th. How about you?
