Expect info on the next Far Cry soon, says Ubisoft

Series now has the ‘recognition it deserves’

The future of the Far Cry franchise is looking bright. We know that Ubisoft has another full game “cooking” and based on strong sales for Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, it seems entirely possible that the company will continue on that path as well.

“We’re totally psyched from [Far Cry 3],” Ubisoft senior VP of marketing and sales Tony Key tells GameSpot. “It’s a great brand, and now it’s got the recognition it deserves, so we’re clearly going to make another one: more on that soon.”

Where would you want the next one to be set? I could go for Africa again, honestly. I’m one of those people who genuinely enjoyed what Far Cry 2 was going for despite its glaring faults.
