I know, I know — talk of a Titanfall sequel already. Go ahead: give us your best groan.

Of course Electronic Arts would want to turn the property into a full-on franchise and it sounds like the game sold well enough for the publisher to secure those rights. There’s also been the expectation that a new installment won’t be restricted to Microsoft platforms and it seems that’s indeed the case based on recent industry chatter.

GameSpot and Polygon have also heard from sources that the next Titanfall will be released on additional platforms beyond Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Developer Respawn declined to comment, while an EA representative said “We do not comment on rumor or speculation. “Right now all our focus is on supporting all the fans worldwide enjoying Titanfall.”
