DOOM Eternal reveals ‘Battlemode’ multiplayer gameplay

Expect Violence

Bethesda and id Software have released a short video giving DOOM fans the opportunity to check out some of the multiplayer action that will be available in highly-anticipated shooter sequel DOOM Eternal.

The six-minute clip features footage from “Battlemode,” a new PvP option which pits two players as loaded-for-bear marines against a third player, controlling a monstrous demon. It probably goes without saying that the aim of the game is to simply decimate the opposition in ballistic 2-vs-1 action. The mode will launch with six arenas and five playable demons, with more maps and playable characters being added down the line, free of charge. So that’s nice.

DOOM Eternal launches on PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch November 22.
