DICE continues to upgrade its social service Battlelog in preparation for Battlefield 4‘s release later this year, and here’s our look at what exactly is in the pipeline. For folks who literally can’t get enough Battlefield in their life and usually have a smartphone or tablet handy, there’s some cool functionality present like real-time loadout adjustments and location-based leaderboards. I can see the latter feature getting real creepy, real fast.

Above all else, having your tablet set up as a dedicated minimap sounds like a terrific convenience. I understand the appeal, but those days of obsession are behind me, for the most part. Or so I think.
