Crazy old-school RPG being created by Planescape producer

Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore

If you are a fan of classic role-playing games like Realms of Arkania, then you need to check out this Kickstarter. Guido Henkel was the producer of Planescape: Torment and Realms of Arkania, and he worked on Fallout 2, Neverwinter Nights, and Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games. Now Henkel is leading up a new game called Deathfire: Ruins of Nethermore.

Deathfire will be a role-playing game that lets you create your own party, and it is oozing with old-school mechanics and features. Players will crawl through dungeons, explore political intrigue, solve puzzles, fight monsters, and partake in other role-playing antics.

It looks like a return to first-person turn-based RPGs from the late ’80s and early ’90s, with a new edge and modern graphics. They are trying to raise $390,000 on Kickstarter by December 7. I’m going to go rob a bank and donate of all the money to this.
