Confirmed: Nintendo’s Senior Marketing VP George Harrison leaves company

As Nintendo packs up and heads out of Redmond, a few of Nintendo’s power players have decided to stay behind, Marketing VP George Harrison included. Nintendo is moving to hang out with the cool kids in San Francisco and New York, and it was rumored earlier that Harrison and a few others would decline the relocation; now it looks like the rumors were true.

“I have confirmed to all employees that I will be leaving at the end of December and not making the move to California,” Harrison told Reuters.

Harrison is probably not alone. We told you earlier about the possibility of corporate affairs VP Perrin Kaplan and public relations senior director Beth Llewelyn also leaving, and while their departure has not yet been confirmed, ShackNews says that their positions are now listed as openings on Nintendo’s career site. Of course, this would require relocation to San Francisco as well.

I guess these guys aren’t California fans.

[thanks, Rishi]
