Challenge editor for Ryse has been scrapped

‘Oh no that’s horrible news’ said no one

Remember that challenge editor that was supposed to be added to Ryse: Son of Rome after launch? Well it’s been scrapped. Microsoft spoke with Polygon, stating that “after careful consideration, we have decided to cease development on Ryse: Son of Rome’s challenge editor and focus on improving and expanding fans’ experience with the game through both free content updates and purchased add-on packs.”

It’s believed this decision ultimately stems from how poor the game was received. A game that started life as a Kinect controlled last-gen title was poorly received? I am shocked.
