The most impactful, game-changing design distinction between Street Fighter IV and its super follow-up isn’t the addition of fresh rival battle scenes, characters or even the pyrotechnic new Ultra Combos. It’s easily mecha-Zangief.

As you’ll observe above, mecha-Zangief fights like old Zangief but don’t let that fool you. This guy is different from his fleshy boring brother. This metal man is Russian colossus who eats babies and craps glass shards. He’s a man who travels often and enjoys the subtle beauty of nature. He seeks her out, gently probes her mystery with his laser-beam equipped hands and large, ruby red eyes.

FYI: mecha-Zangief happens to be a costume, one of three that the Red Cyclone will be able to don in the game. Other characters will have three as well, but none as exciting as this. Obviously.

Hit the fold for two more videos, neither of which starring Zangief.
