Call of Duty: Black Ops Wii getting patched up soon

Not many Wii games get post-releases patches, but I suppose not as many are as big a deal as Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game’s developer has announced that it will release a patch for the title within the next two weeks.

“We have fixed many of the problems you have reported and are currently eating those fixes in an update,” wrote Treyarch community man, Josh Olin, on the Black Ops forums.

The issues and subsequent fixes seem to mostly revolve around multiplayer connectivity issues many users have been reporting. No word on how it will be delivered, but something tells me it won’t involve sending your Wii console to Treyarch’s Santa Monica offices.

Jonathan Holmes recently reviewed the Wii version of this year’s gaming best seller, recommending the game for fans of first-person shooters who appreciate pointer-style controls.
