BioShock Mobile: Welcome to little tiny Rapture

Recommended Videos

The next time you’ll see the lush, underwater world of BioShock’s Rapture will be on a mobile phone’s screen. Big Daddy isn’t looking so big anymore.

A press release tells us that IG Fun, the international publishing arm of Indiagames has just secured the global rights to develop and publish BioShock for the mobile phone platform. I know what you’re thinking: BioShock on a phone?

Sean Malatesta, CEO, IG Fun said, “We’re trying to do great things and BioShock on mobile promises to offer a whole new gaming experience and unmatched excitement amongst mobile gamers the world over. BioShock is a special game in its genre; it brings an element of conflicting morals which has an impact on the storyline, and, among other things, on the difficulty of the game itself.”

Vishal Gondal, Founder & CEO, Indiagames Ltd. added, “Bio-shock on mobile will herald the next level in mobile game development and gameplay experience. The PC and console version of the game has already been a huge hit and we are confident of replicating the success on the mobile platform too.”

I really wish I could tell you more about the game, but IG Fun gives us nothing more than a few quotes and some copypasta from the BioShock Wikipedia page.

Even with my super-loaded imagination, I cannot begin to imagine what a mobile version of BioShock would look like. Is your love for BioShock strong enough to lead you to a miniature Rapture?
