Aniimo offers you utmost freedom when it comes to using a team of your favorite monsters, but not all of them are equally effective. While there are no hard and fast rules of team composition, synergy is key. It carries more weight once you’re in the midgame and the endgame stages.
In this guide, I will go through the best team compositions I have found so far on my journey. Do note that this is based on pre-launch access, and I have yet to reach the true endgame stage.

Best Starter team in Aniimo
You’ll quickly get plenty of different Aniimo when you start the game. Some of them will be part of the quests, so can’t skip them. However, what’s the best combination? Well, there are two different routes to take.
- Team 1: Helion, Celestis, Hummin, and Flutternym
- Team 2: Lunara, Emberpup, Hummin, Flutternym
Hummin and Flutternym play the same roles in both teams, with the former helping you do Break damage while the latter helps you with heals. Flutternym is the best healer you can get in a beginner team.
With Helion and Celestis, you have experts in melee and ranged damage respectively. If you opt for Lunara instead of Helion, you don’t need Celestis (since both do range damage). Instead, you can pair up Emberpup with Lunara to form the perfect combo of range+melee.

Best team compositions in Aniimo
Once you’re in midgame, you’ll want to focus on single-element teams. I have listed down some of my favorite ones, with Fire being my top choice.
Best Fire Team
- Magmarez
- Infergon
- Glacy
- Flamerion
I picked Magmarex from the free Prismana pick and built the rest of the surrounding team. In Flamerion, you’ll have a perfect companion to enter the battler after Fire Debuffs to restore the EP. Glacy plays the role of a healer in this team while Infergon makes use of all the bonus EP and debuffs to deal increased damage.

Best Grass Team
- Thornblade
- Melloblum
- Somnwing
- Glameep
Thornblade is the lead damage dealer in the team. You can get more out of him if you manage to land the parries and the counters. Somniwing is a support in this team with its EP recovery. I have gone for a dual healer setup in Melloblum (who is a hybrid of support and DPS) and Glameep (who is a pure healer).
Best Dark Team
- Stellarys
- Rookey
- Fragrancier
- Hexxin
Dark is the element to go against bosses in my books. Stellarys can do a massive amount of damage in quick time, while Rookey adds to the Break potential of the team. Since Stellarys’ clone can copy its attacks, it doubles the buffs provided by both Hexxin and Fragrancier.
I will be looking to add at least couple more teams to this list, but that requires more testing.
