Best healers for Furina in Genshin Impact, ranked

The healer who needs a healer.

Furina is here in Genshin Impact, and though she’s an amazing character, her health drain mechanics practically mandate having a healer. Not all healers are created equal though, and not all of the best healers necessarily work well with Furina. Here are the best healers to pair with Furina in Genshin Impact!

Baizhu

Baizhu is a 5-star Dendro Catalyst unit. He heals the entire team for a large amount with the press of a single button. Because this team heal is on his Skill and not Burst, its availability is tied only to his 10-second Skill cooldown. He doesn’t need to worry about not having enough Energy.

In addition to his Skill though, Baizhu also heals the on-field character periodically during his Burst. The healing from his Burst is a lot lower than his Skill, but it’s still nice to have and will help to build Furina’s Fanfare stacks more quickly. It also confers various buffs that are beneficial to many Dendro teams.

On top of his frankly excessive healing capabilities, Baizhu can apply Dendro using his Normal and Charged Attacks. While his range is quite minimal and the application rate is pretty average, just being able to apply Dendro at will is pretty useful. The only other character who can do this at the moment is Nahida, the Dendro Archon.

Jean/Xianyun/Sayu

Jean, Xianyun, and Sayu are Anemo units that share somewhat analogous roles. Jean and Xianyun are 5-stars and Sayu is a 4-star, but they are all useful in teams that rely on Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo damage. Throw a 4pc Viridescent Venerer artifact set on them, and they can apply a powerful debuff to enemies.

All of them have a powerful team heal as soon as they use their Bursts, as well as additional healing ticks for the on-field character. Jean has a stronger up-front heal while Xianyun and Sayu have stronger healing over time. Their healing scales with the ATK stat, and while Jean often heals sufficiently with an ATK/Anemo/CRIT build, Xianyun and Sayu may want to go ATK/ATK/ATK.

Xianyun has the added utility of buffing Plunging Attacks, making her a great support for plunge DPS characters like Xiao or Gaming.

If you have Sayu’s Constellation 6, an Elemental Mastery build becomes more viable. However, there is a cap to the healing you can gain from Elemental Mastery, so you might want to just stick with a full ATK build.

Charlotte/Mika

Charlotte and Mika are 4-star Cryo units. Despite being 4-stars, both have team healing abilities in their Bursts. As long as you have the Energy, you can heal your whole party at once.

Charlotte is also a Cryo unit that’s able to apply off-field Cryo to some degree. Together with Furina, this can trigger Freeze. Enemies won’t stay permanently frozen though, unless you have an additional source of Cryo — like Charlotte’s Normal Attacks.

One great aspect of Cryo is that it doesn’t interfere with Dendro. In fact, Freeze specifically can facilitate even more Bloom reactions than would normally be possible. This opens up some interesting possibilities for Furina-Charlotte Hyperbloom teams.

Mika doesn’t apply as much Cryo, but he makes up for it with an ATK SPD buff that benefits Normal Attackers like Wanderer or Yoimiya. Furina makes them hit harder and Mika makes them hit faster!

Kokomi/Yaoyao

If you’re able to spare the field time, Kokomi and Yaoyao make great healers for Furina. While both of these characters also have off-field healing abilities, they need to be on-field to perform the massive team healing that Furina demands.

Kokomi is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user. She can summon a jellyfish with her Skill, which heals on-field teammates at intervals. Her Burst increases the healing from her jellyfish and refreshes its duration, allowing for 100% uptime. More importantly though, when Kokomi Bursts, she can heal the entire team using Normal and Charged Attacks. In teams where Kokomi is the on-field driver, she is more than able to keep up with Furina’s health drain.

Yaoyao is a 4-star Dendro Polearm unit whose Skill summons a stuffed rabbit named Yuegui. Yuegui throws radishes that simultaneously damage enemies and heal your on-field character for a small amount. The bulk of Yaoyao’s healing comes from her Burst. During this state, Yaoyao will summon three more Yueguis who will heal your entire team, not just your on-field character. At least the Burst duration is quite short — only five seconds — so you don’t have to stay on-field for too long.

And those are the best healers to support Furina in Genshin Impact! Note that these are far from the only healers you can use with Furina. You can absolutely play a team with Noelle, Bennett, or Kuki Shinobu. But these other healers have caveats that make them difficult to recommend for Furina teams, like Noelle requiring specific teammates or Bennett only healing the on-field character. Whoever you choose, I wish you the best of luck staying alive in Genshin Impact!
