Best Charlotte Builds, Weapons, and Teams in Genshin Impact

Anything to get that interview.

Charlotte is a 4-star Cryo Catalyst healer in Genshin Impact. With her debut as a playable character in Version 4.2, we’ve got the scoop on her playstyles, best weapons, artifacts, and team synergy.

Playstyles

Charlotte is typically played as a healer support. Her Skill marks enemies, dealing Cryo damage over time and generating particles at the time of casting. Her Burst creates a small field that deals Cryo damage over time and heals the entire team. The healing is actually quite good, especially considering Charlotte’s minimal field time requirements.

As an off-field healer, Charlotte should use her Skill, then Burst, then swap to teammates.

It is possible to play Charlotte as an on-field DPS in Melt teams. If you want to go this route, then you should focus on building CRIT, ATK, and Elemental Mastery. I don’t recommend this unless you’re passionate about Charlotte, though, since there are much better DPS characters for Melt teams. The rest of this guide will focus on Charlotte’s healer build.

Weapons

Prototype Amber
Charlotte’s healing scales with ATK, not HP, but Prototype Amber’s utility makes it a great option nonetheless. It regenerates some Energy when Charlotte casts her Burst and grants additional team healing over time. As the cherry on top, Prototype Amber can be crafted for free if you have Catalyst billets to spare.

Skyward Atlas / Memory of Dust / Everlasting Moonglow / Jadefall’s Splendor
These 5-star options are viable stat sticks if you happen to have them. Atlas and Memory of Dust increase Charlotte’s ATK, Moonglow gives her Healing Bonus, and Jadefall helps to restore Energy. Still, I don’t recommend pulling them specifically for Charlotte, especially given the accessibility of other options on this list.

Oathsworn Eye / Favonius Codex
These Catalysts both help with Charlotte’s Energy needs, either by increasing her Energy Recharge or generating more particles for the team. If you can’t use Prototype Amber, I would suggest one of these instead. Oathsworn Eye was available through an event during Version 2.5.

Hakushin Ring / Ballad of the Boundless Blue
While these weapons’ passives aren’t particularly helpful, they do come with an Energy Recharge secondary stat. Charlotte needs all the Energy Recharge she can get, so it’s worth considering these weapons if you don’t have any of the above.

Artifacts

4pc Noblesse Oblige (4NO)
This is the classic support set, allowing Charlotte to buff her teammates’ ATK when she Bursts. Recent characters have a tendency to scale with other stats instead, so 4NO may not be optimal for Furina or Neuvillette teams.

4pc Ocean-Hued Clam (4OHC)
4OHC will boost Charlotte’s healing and convert some of it into damage. The Healing Bonus from the 2pc set also buffs Prototype Amber’s healing over time.

4pc Maiden Beloved (4MB) / 2pc combos
4MB’s buffs to healing are a bit excessive, but still a good option if you just want as much healing as possible. Otherwise, feel free to combine 2pc bonuses that grant Energy Recharge, Healing Bonus, or ATK.

ATKATK
CRIT Rate (if Favonius)

As the sole Cryo unit in a team, Charlotte can need more than 230% Energy Recharge in order to use her Burst every rotation. Prototype Amber or Favonius weapons can help get this down to about 180-190%.

Aside from Energy Recharge, you can just stack as much ATK as possible. If using Favonius Codex, you might want to invest in some CRIT Rate to have an easier time triggering its passive.

Teams

Freeze

Charlotte is a great support in Freeze teams that need a healer. In particular, she enables the use of Furina, since Diona’s healing can be insufficient when combined with Furina’s HP drain. Here are some teams to try out, but as always, try experimenting to see what fits your playstyle best.

Mono Cryo

Mono Cryo teams are simply Freeze teams without the Hydro. Shenhe and Kazuha make up the backbone of mono Cryo teams, and I recommend having at least one or the other. Mono Cryo teams are pretty formulaic:

  • Charlotte – Ganyu/Ayaka – Venti/Kazuha – Shenhe/Cryo

Flex Healer

Cryo is a fairly unobtrusive element when it comes to reactions, and Charlotte doesn’t apply a lot of it over time, making her a great healer for teams that may not necessarily need Cryo.

  • Charlotte – Alhaitham/Nahida – Xingqiu/Yelan/Furina – Raiden
  • Charlotte – Eula – Fischl – Shenhe/Rosaria
  • Charlotte – Freminet – Fischl – Xingqiu/Yelan/Furina
  • Charlotte – Neuvillette – Furina – Kazuha
  • Charlotte – Itto – Gorou – Albedo
  • Charlotte – Xiao/Wanderer – Faruzan – Furina
